We previously announced that Disney Skyliner would be coming to Walt Disney World Resort. The new gondola system is currently set to debut this fall to transport guests to locations within Walt Disney world. Disney is currently testing the nearly 300 guest cabins and other system components, so you may have been lucky enough to spot the Disney Skyliner in action during this testing. The Disney Skyliner will have stations at Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Pop Century Resort, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort and Disney’s Riviera Resort, the newest Walt Disney World Disney Vacation Club Resort. We have a few new details from Disney Parks Blog about the Disney Skyliner for you all to check out.
Each of the cabins within Disney Skyliner will be able to accommodate up to 10 guests, which will include guests that will be traveling with wheelchairs or other assistive devices. The cabins have been created and tailored with the Florida climate in mind so that guests will be able to travel in comfort.
You can check out the fun video below to see inside one of the Disney Skyliner cabins. You can also learn more about the system from Walt Disney World Resort Senior Vice President Thomas Mazloum and Walt Disney Imagineering Principal Architect Dean Huspen.
