Disney Dining Plan

If you plan to travel to Walt Disney World in 2024, you will want to know all about the returning of Disney dining plans. Guests can add a Disney dining plan to their Walt Disney World Resort package. Doing so can make your trip feel more all-inclusive; however, you will want to ensure you are educated in what it includes.

Disney is offering two dining plans for guests to choose from during their 2024 vacations. Guests prepay for the dining plan and then use credits throughout their trip at meal time. Dig into all the two plans have to offer before you automatically decide to add one to your trip. Make sure it is the right fit for your traveling party.

Although the dining plans can be a fantastic option for many guests, don’t automatically assume it is right for you.

Rising Prices

If there is one thing that is always consistent at Disney, the prices will go up. It isn’t a secret to anyone that a trip to Walt Disney World is expensive. Since the implementation of surge pricing for tickets, Genie+, and Individual Lightning Lanes, guests have experienced a drastic increase in cost.

Be aware that you will pay top prices for these features if you visit Walt Disney World during busier times of the year, such as the holiday season we are in now. Genie+ is hitting record highs of $39/person for Magic Kingdom and the Multiple Theme Park option.

As we have also seen Genie+ max out during these busier days, we don’t anticipate pricing to go down in 2024. Be aware that you will want to include these additional costs in your budget when planning for 2024.

Park Hopping is Back

Finally, when planning a trip to Walt Disney World in 2024, be aware that park hopping is back. Starting January 9, guests who add the park hopper feature to their Walt Disney World Ticket can hop anytime.

Having park hopping back 100% in 2024 could change how you plan your Disney park days. Think about how you might use park hopping when visiting in 2024 to see and do more in less time.

About Jennifer Retzlaff

My name is Jennifer Retzlaff and I became a lifelong Disney fan during my first trip to Walt Disney World in 6th grade. From that moment, Disney became a big part of my life. I live in Iowa with my husband and two kids who are growing up too quickly for my liking. I started introducing my love for Disney early to my family with a Disney honeymoon and then trips when our youngest of 18 months. Since then, our family has been to Walt Disney World over five times and we continue to plan and dream for the next trip. I love the magic that Disney brings to people through the theme parks, cruises, adventures and movies they create. As a teacher, I try to bring that magic into my classroom to help kids believe that “If You Can Dream It, You Can Do It.” I recently reached a dream of mine as I joined Magic Vacation Planner as a personal travel advisor. With this team, I can now help others plan magical vacations. As a passionate writer, I also have my own blog at magicalvacationsbyjen which is also where you can follow me on instagram for trip reviews along with tips and tricks for your next magical vacation.
