Disney Begins Pixar-Related Removals Ahead of 2026 Rebrand

Disneyland Paris Resort is dismantling elements of Walt Disney Studios Park ahead of its March transformation into Disney Adventure World. A Pixar merchandise kiosk vanished overnight from Animation Courtyard, marking yet another visible removal as the European Disney park prepares for its most significant overhaul since opening in 2002.

The X (formerly Twitter) account @DLPReport confirmed on Sunday, January 25, that the Pixar merchandise kiosk had been removed from Animation Courtyard at Walt Disney Studios Park. The account shared a photograph showing the empty space where the retail location previously operated.

“🔧 The Pixar merchandise kiosk has also been removed from Animation Courtyard,” @DLPReport posted.

The unannounced overnight removal comes two months before Walt Disney Studios Park closes and reopens as Disney Adventure World on March 29, 2026. Disneyland Paris Resort hasn’t indicated whether the Pixar kiosk will return, though the park’s comprehensive transformation timeline suggests it won’t.

Disney Adventure World Debuts March 29

Walt Disney Studios Park officially becomes Disney Adventure World on March 29, 2026. Disneyland Paris Resort is abandoning the behind-the-scenes filmmaking theme in favor of immersive experiences set within beloved cinematic universes.

Some existing areas will survive the transformation. Marvel Avengers Campus and Worlds of Pixar remain operational, though with potential modifications. The park’s biggest addition is World of Frozen, a scaled recreation of the Norwegian village from Frozen (2013) featuring Elsa’s Ice Palace. The land includes two attractions, a live show, and an advanced walk-around Olaf audio-animatronic.

Opening day also brings Raiponce Tangled Spin, a Tangled (2010)-themed attraction, a new Disney character dining experience, and Disney Cascade of Lights—billed as the Disney parks’ most advanced nighttime spectacular yet.

Future Expansions Already Underway

Disneyland Paris Resort is constructing additional Disney Adventure World content beyond the March 29 opening. A Lion King (1994)-inspired land with a log flume ride is under development, alongside an Up (2009)-themed flying carousel. The European Disney park hasn’t announced opening dates for either project.

The removal of the Pixar kiosk is just the beginning of visible changes guests will notice as Walt Disney Studios Park transforms into Disney Adventure World over the next two months. Additional removals, construction barriers, and cosmetic changes will likely accelerate as the March 29 deadline approaches.
