Disney World Makes Another Update To Pirates of the Caribbean Ride

Walt Disney World Resort has made another update to the Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Magic Kingdom Park. On Thursday, the Central Florida Disney park revealed the new cast member costumes for the ride, and they’re expected to debut alongside a brand-new offering: the Beak and Barrel tavern. The tavern, inspired by the Adventureland attraction, is set to open later this month.

Earlier this week, Walt Disney World Resort officially announced that Beak and Barrel would open its doors to guests on Friday, August 29, 2025. This new family-friendly lounge will take over the former Pirates League location, next to Plaza del Sol Caribe Bazaar, the Pirates of the Caribbean ride’s gift shop. Guests will be able to enjoy a variety of small bites as well as both non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages inspired by the pirate-filled world of Adventureland. Like Oga’s Cantina in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, guests will have a 45-minute window to enjoy their visit. Reservations for Beak and Barrel will be available beginning August 14.

As part of the exciting updates, Walt Disney World Resort also shared a sneak peek at the new cast member costumes for Pirates of the Caribbean, Plaza del Sol Caribe Bazaar, and Beak and Barrel. A video posted by the resort on August 7 features cast members showing off the updated attire, which consists of mix-and-match pieces including shirts, pants, vests, shorts, sashes, and hats.

While Walt Disney World Resort hasn’t provided a specific debut date for the new costumes, it’s expected that they will coincide with the grand opening of Beak and Barrel later this month. It’s unclear whether cast members will have the freedom to mix and match the pieces on their own or if each costume component will be designated for specific areas like the ride, gift shop, or tavern.
