Pandora Opening Weekend Extra Magic Hours Attractions for Animal Kingdom Announced

The opening weekend for Pandora – The World of Avatar is coming up quickly, planned for May 27th.  This opening has been much anticipated over the last few months and is the top of the talk on all of the Disney sites.  During the days and months following the opening, Extra Magic Hours are expected only for resort guests in the evenings to help give resort guests more opportunities to experience the world of Pandora at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.  The Extra Magic Hours were originally thought to only include Pandora experiences, but Disney has confirmed that from May 27th through May 29th there will be additional attractions open.

The full list of attractions open during Extra Magic Hours for opening weekend in addition to Pandora is:

• Primeval Whirl
• TriceraTop Spin
• Fossil Fun Games
• Tree of Life Awakenings
• Rivers of Light
• Discovery Island Carnival

The Extra Magic Hours are scheduled 11PM to 1AM on the nights it is offered.  Starting from May 30th through July 4th, the evening Extra Magic Hours will return to just be for Pandora experiences and no other attractions within the park.  This could obviously change at any time and Disney could decide that more attractions should be open due to popularity, but this is the schedule as it sits now.
