Outer Rim’s dining atmosphere is cozy. While the design of this bar may feel a little in need of an update, the windows with views of Bay Lake add a lot. Additionally, while you enjoy a drink, watch for the monorail passing through overhead, a feature unique to Disney’s Contemporary Resort.

The location of Outer Rim makes this Lounge a great stop if you’re looking to grab a drink along the monorail or while waiting for a dining reservation. If you’re waiting for Chef Mickey’s with younger Guests, the menu even offers fun mocktails that anyone can enjoy. This is also a fun stop if you are resort hopping since it’s close to the resort’s stores, Bayview Gifts, Fantasia, and Fantasia Market.

About Megan Losey

As a Disney foodie, I love writing about Disney food and snacks. Some of my favorites are the Carrot Cake Cookie from Trolley Car Cafe, the Mickey Beignets from Port Orleans French Quarter, and the Apple Blossom from Port Orleans Riverside. When I'm visiting the parks, you can find me on Main Street taking in the good vibe of Magic Kingdom or relaxing with a drink at the Polynesian watching the fireworks from the beach. As a previous Cast Member, I will always have a special place in my heart for the Magic Kingdom, especially Main Street U.S.A.
