News: Food Allergy Kiosk Opening Soon at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

One of the most common questions we get from our fans is about dining in Disney when you have special food allergies.

Disney is always outstanding in accommodating guests with special dietary needs.  In fact, it is safe to say that no other theme park holds a candle to the way Disney handles these special needs and requests.

Now Disney is taking it to the next level!  Disney’s Animal Kingdom will soon be opening a new food allergy information kiosk to make dining decisions easier for those guests with food allergies and intolerances.

It will open on August 4 2013, and the information kiosk will be located in a former snack kiosk location just outside the Adventurers Outpost meet and greet on Discovery Island.

It is called the ‘Gardens Kiosk’ and it will be open from 9am to 3pm daily.

It will allow all guests to chat with cast members about their options when dining at Animal Kingdom restaurants. Guests will still be able to speak to cast members at individual restaurants, but this kiosk will give guests more information prior to them visiting specific restaurants.

Besides offering information, the ‘Garden Kiosk’ will also offer a range of pre-packed snacks including hummus vegetables, granola bars, chips, popcorn and a gluten-free beer. This new information kiosk is currently only available at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, but it it is highly likely that other locations could be ahead if this test goes well.
