New Custodial Tracking System at Walt Disney World

Beginning Sunday, November 6th, Disney will be piloting a new custodial tracking system.  The test will begin in Tomorrowland at the Magic Kingdom where custodial cast members will check out an iPhone that will direct them to various areas that may need attention to help ensure that the park stays clean.  Once the testing and tweaks are done, we expect that this will be rolled out all over Walt Disney World Resort.  There are concerns from cast members that this prevents the ability for cast members with seniority to pick their tasks or that there could be ramifications if an iPhone is accidentally broken.  Those are other items that are sure to be worked out and discussed during the testing phases.  We will keep you posted as we learn more about this new technology in the parks.
