More Details Announced for Walt Disney World’s International Festival of Arts

The Epcot International Festival of the Arts first debuted in early 2017 and it is set to return for a second year in early 2018.  The festival celebrates all aspects of art including performing, visual and culinary.  The festival will run from January 12th through February 19th.  This year the festival will run every day and not just select days like it did during the inaugural year.  The Disney on Broadway performances will only occur on Fridays through Mondays, though.

The festival is all set to include amazing experiences including interactions and experiences with artists, musical performances, stage shows, culinary delights and various other entertainment.  Here are some of the festival happenings that guests can expect:

  • Art seminars and experiences that are led by top Disney artists and other renowned artists.  These experiences include classes on animation, photography, making topiaries, etc.
  • There will be several food studios that will have an artistic spin on culinary samplings.
  • There will be performing artists at the festival for various events and entertainment.
  • The Disney on Broadway series  will feature top performers from Disney Theatrical productions.  The shows will be performed at 5:30 PM, 6:45 PM or 8 PM on select Fridays through Mondays during the celebration.
    • The Disney on Broadway Dining Packages are also returning.  Guests will be able to enjoy a meal at one of the participating Epcot restaurants and also have priority seating at the Disney on Broadway event so they guarantee that they get a great seat for the event.  Reservations are now open for breakfast, lunch or dinner reservations for the packages.  Packages are expected to book up quickly, so be sure to get yours while you can.  You will also have to pay for the cost of the package at the time of booking.

About Christy Caby

I am a diehard Disney fanatic! I fell in love with all things Disney from an early age and that only increased once I first visited Walt Disney World! It led me to complete a yearlong Disney College Program working at merchandise locations within Disney’s Hollywood Studios (Disney-MGM Studios at that time) and I worked for Disney Parks & Resorts Technology in Project/Program Management. Now I get to write about Disney and help others plan their magical vacations! Disney holds a special place in the hearts of my entire family as my husband proposed there, we honeymooned there, took trips while pregnant with each of my boys and have visited with them many, many times from 8 weeks old through now. One of my favorite memories from each trip is always the look on my kids’ faces the first time they see the castle. I’d love to help you plan your magical vacation!
