More Cold Weather Closures Coming to Walt Disney World for December 5th

Its looks like more cold weather is headed for the Central Florida area causing scheduled closures.  Currently Walt Disney World is expecting to close Typhoon Lagoon on December 5th, 2018.  At this time the water park is currently set to reopen to guests on December 6th, 2018.  Blizzard Beach is already closed due to annual maintenance and refurbishment, so it is not impacted by this closure.  Disney’s Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show will also cancel the 8:15 PM seating of the event since it is held outside in the later evening hours.  At this time, Disney’s Fantasia Gardens and Winter Summerland Miniature golf courses are expected to remain open to guests as scheduled.

Disney will typically close the water parks or other select outdoor events when the temperatures are expected to be too low to be comfortable.  This is in order to ensure guest safety, as well as to plan ahead for the decreased popularity and attendance for select attractions during cooler weather.

We will keep you posted as we learn more!  Who out there prefers to visit Walt Disney World in the winter months?
