More Announcements for New Attractions and Disney Lakeside Lodge Coming to Walt Disney World

There were tons of amazing announcements for attractions and events coming to Walt Disney World during D23’s Destination D Mickey Mouse Fan Celebration.  Disney Parks, Experiences and Consumer Products Chairman Bob Chapek announced that a new nighttime experience, “Wonderful World of Animation,” will debut at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in May 2019.  It will be coming to the park just in time for the park’s 30th anniversary celebration.  This new show will use state-of-the-art projection technology to take guests on a magical journey through more than 90 years of Disney animation, all beginning with Mickey himself.  At Disneyland Resort, Mickey’s Soundsational Parade will return in January 2019.

Bob Chapek also announced more details about the previously announced resort coming to the location where the River Country water park used to be located.  The resort will be known as Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge.  It will be a deluxe resort that is inspired by nature.  The resort will feature more than 900 resort rooms as well as proposed Disney Vacation Club villas.
