Disney Dining Serving up the latest Disney Eats, Treats, News, and More!
We are hearing various reports online that it is very possible that Mickey’s Backyard BBQ could be closing permanently. Currently there are only dates offered for the event through December 31st, 2018, so that is suspected to be the last date that the dining experience will be offered. Mickey’s Backyard BBQ is only offered seasonally, so it is possible that the next offered dates just haven’t been loaded yet. We haven’t heard any official confirmations from Disney as to whether or not the closing is legitimate or not.
There are several rumors about what could be replacing the event at the location, one of which is that the closure is related to the work that is taking place in the old River Country area.
If you love Mickey’s Backyard BBQ we definitely recommend that you reserve your spot for one of the events before it is gone forever, just in case. You have to pay for the full cost of the reservation at the time that the reservation is made. The event features an “all you care to enjoy” style meal plus characters, fun music, dancing and more. It really is fun for the whole family. As always, we will keep you posted as we learn more about the potential closing.
