Guest Poops All Over EPCOT’s ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ Coaster

Cosmic Rewind is one of EPCOT’s most thrilling rides—but what happened in the queue recently is what has Disney fans talking.

Disney guests are known for their patience — at least to a point. They’ll wait hours in the Florida heat for a popcorn bucket, camp out for fireworks, and brave packed crowds just to see a character wave from a parade float. But a recent situation in the queue for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind took guest endurance to a new level—and not in a good way.

A Cosmic Catastrophe

Imagine this: You’ve been standing in line for over an hour, excited for one of the best roller coasters Disney has ever built. Then, out of nowhere, an overwhelming smell fills the air. Guests start covering their noses, turning away in disgust. And then you see it—the floor and walls of the queue have been defiled in a way that no one should have to witness at The Most Magical Place on Earth.

Yes, a guest had an unfortunate bathroom emergency right there in the Cosmic Rewind queue. And yet, despite the horrifying circumstances, people kept standing in line.

A video posted to TikTok captured the shocking scene, with guests reacting in disbelief while still shuffling forward. While we don’t know if the culprit was an adult or a child, one thing was clear—this was a situation no one wanted to be a part of.

Why Didn’t People Just Leave?

There’s dedication to a ride, and then there’s this. The fact that guests chose to endure the stench and mess just to get on Cosmic Rewind says a lot about how highly the ride is regarded.

To be fair, the ride is one of Disney’s best in years. With its reverse launch, rotating cars, and killer soundtrack, it’s a must-do for many EPCOT visitors. But was it worth standing in a queue that had just become ground zero for one of the worst guest incidents in recent memory?

It’s also worth noting that Cosmic Rewind’s queue doesn’t have a bathroom—something this guest probably wishes they had realized sooner. For those unaware, nearby restrooms can be found at Connections Eatery and outside Club Cool, and guests can ask Cast Members for a quick exit if an emergency arises.

An Incident Disney Won’t Forget Anytime Soon

This is far from the first strange guest incident to happen at Disney World, but it’s certainly one of the more disgusting ones. Whether it was a genuine accident or an unfortunate choice, Cast Members were left to clean up a mess that no one should ever have to deal with at a theme park.

Let this be a lesson to us all: if you think you might need a bathroom break before getting in a long queue, take it. Because no ride—even one as epic as Cosmic Rewind—is worth being part of a story like this.

  1. This is why the new DAS access change is ridiculous. I am a person that suffers from severe onset of IBS and at times need a restroom right away. I have letters signed by doctors stating this and had video chats with DAS employees and was turned down twice. Unless they change these rules this will continue to happen.

    1. I agree! There is no real solution to people who suffere with Crohns and IBS issues. Return to line is not a viable solution. I love Disney but they are wrong to give DAS for these chronic illnesses that are covered by ADA.

      1. Sorry…it should be suffer and “I love Disney but they are wrong NOT to give DAS for these chronic illnesses that are covered by ADA.

    2. Absolutely agreed! How is a company going to accommodate a special need and then suddenly cease to accommodate them? It’s horrible.

  2. What in the actual hell…if you have horrible Ibs don’t ride rollercoasters, why should everyone suffer because of that. Go see an actual doctor and take care of it, for all the idiots on here claiming this is disneys fault. You are morons. Also if you have something like this notify an employee, apologize and go change your adult diaper, jesus

    1. You are the worst person ever. Have some compassion. I hope you get chrons disease so you realize how wrong you are.

  3. I hope Patricia Spencer gets a horrible digestive disease and has to suffer the way this poor person did and she will realize how wrong and cruel she is. There is no cure for crohns disease. So this person isn’t allowed to go on roller coasters because they have a disease that might cause them to have an accident? What a horrible human you are. Have some compassion. Disney was wrong to change their Das policy. If someone has a Dr’s note and Ada they should give the person a das pass.

    1. Thank you for your support. I was going to respond to that person but figured it was not worth my time.

  4. So where did the “Guest Poops All Over EPCOT’s ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ Coaster” happen? The headline states the whole ride is “pooped on” when someone had an accident in the que line. Sh*t happens! deal with life. Don’t make it sound worse that it is. When ya gotta go, ya gotta go. Just imagine how bad this person feels, all everyone else thinks of is how inconvenienced they are.

  5. I have MS with damage to my cervical spine which impacts bowel and bladder control. I have a list of other issues but no longer qualify for a DAS pass. I was recently in this line, and almost had an accident. I pushed my way out the line to an exit door and pooped in a rain poncho in a vacant hallway. I had no control, I know what this person must have been feeling.

I was exiting and ran into a cast member who scolded me for bing in the hallway and said I should have seen a cast member to exit. I had no time to find one, and had no options. I avoided a mess but my day was stressful and less than magical after that incident. Disney has ruined the magic with their new policies.
