MAJOR Universal Orlando Announcement Expected Next Week

It’s the middle of summer, and Universal Orlando is… unusually silent. That kind of quiet usually doesn’t last long. And when it comes to this time of year, fans know exactly what might be lurking around the corner.

With August closing in and the fall season approaching fast, theme park followers are refreshing their feeds, watching for clues, and whispering one word: horror.

Halloween Horror Nights—A Scary-Good Tradition

Universal flips the switch every fall and transforms its theme park into a haunted playground. Halloween Horror Nights has been running since 1991, growing from a few nights of frights to a world-famous event packed with haunted houses, scare zones, and nightmare-fueled fun.

This year’s Orlando edition promises 10 haunted houses; so far, eight are locked in. It’s those final two that everyone’s buzzing about.

Here’s What’s Official

The following haunted houses have been announced for HHN 34:

Fallout – Venture through the nuclear wasteland of the Fallout universe, where irradiated horrors and mutated monstrosities lurk around every crumbling corner.

Terrifier – Art the Clown turns your worst nightmares into reality as you’re dragged through scenes straight from his most gruesome kills.

Dolls: Let’s Play Dead – A forgotten toy room becomes a living nightmare where dolls giggle, hunt, and never let you leave.

Jason Universe – Camp Crystal Lake gets a terrifying twist as Jason Voorhees slashes his way through a multiverse of mayhem inspired by his many incarnations.

Gálkn: Monsters of the North – In a frozen village cursed by Nordic legends, bloodthirsty beasts stalk the snow-covered silence.

Grave of Flesh – Descend into a hellish world of stitched-together corridors where flesh is currency and escape is not an option.

El Artista: A Spanish Haunting – Haunted canvases and cursed creations blur the line between art and terror in this gothic tale from 19th-century Spain.

Hatchet and Chains: Demon Bounty Hunters – Saddle up for a showdown in a cursed frontier town where lava-spawned demons have taken justice into their own claws.

Four scare zones are also on deck:

  • The Origins of Horror

  • Masquerade: Dance with Death

  • The Cat Lady of Crooked Lane

  • Mutations: Toxic Twenties

These outdoor zones keep the scares going between houses—there’s nowhere to hide.

Theories and Rumors

So what could those final two houses be?

One popular theory centers on WWE’s “Wyatt Sicks,” a dark, horror-inspired faction that debuted earlier this year. Fans imagine a haunted house packed with cult-like imagery, eerie lantern-lit corridors, and mind-bending set pieces inspired by Bray Wyatt’s twisted legacy. The idea has been floating around for months, but Universal Orlando Resort hasn’t confirmed anything.

Then there’s Five Nights at Freddy’s. Universal has officially said it’s coming to Orlando and Hollywood, but stopped short of revealing what form it’ll take. A haunted house could plunge guests into the unsettling world of Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, complete with animatronic jump scares, flickering security cameras, and narrow hallways that feel way too claustrophobic. Fans are crossing their fingers for the complete HHN treatment.

Just Around the Corner

If Universal follows its usual schedule, another house announcement—or maybe even both—could come next week. Whether it’s Freddy Fazbear or the Wyatt Sicks, something creepy is coming.

Tickets are on sale now if you think you can handle it.
