Major Disney Parks Policy Reinstated: Here’s What’s Coming Back
For the first time since 2020, Tokyo Disney Resort is bringing back park hopping — and the timing couldn’t be better. With a summer celebration full of music, nighttime shows, and soaking-wet spectacles on the horizon, this limited-time ticketing perk gives guests new ways to make the most of both Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea.
Park Hopping Returns With New 1-Day Passes
Starting July 2 and continuing through September 15, 2025, visitors can purchase a 1-Day Park Hopper Passport, granting access to both of the resort’s iconic theme parks. Guests will choose a starting park when purchasing the ticket, and then can begin hopping between parks after 11:00 a.m.
Tickets will be available in limited quantities via the Tokyo Disney Resort app and official website. Pricing varies by date, ranging from:
-
¥15,300–¥18,900 for adults
-
¥12,600–¥15,500 for juniors
-
¥9,100–¥9,600 for children
Once inside, guests can enjoy added flexibility with Disney Premier Access and Mobile Ordering, which will work across both parks after park hopping begins.
Evening-Only Tickets Expand Availability
Also expanding during this period are Tokyo Disney Resort’s popular evening options. The Early Evening Passport, typically reserved for weekends and holidays, and the Weeknight Passport, usually limited to weekdays, will both be offered every single day throughout the promotion window. The Early Evening Passport allows entry from 3:00 p.m., while the Weeknight Passport opens gates at 5:00 p.m.
These lower-cost ticket types are ideal for guests looking for a short stay or an after-work Disney escape.
Summer Cool-off: A Multi-Park Splash Party
Timed with the ticketing rollout is a full-blown seasonal event, Summer Cool-off at Tokyo Disney Resort, designed to beat the heat in the most Disney way possible: with character shows, water effects, new music, and limited-time merch.
Tokyo Disneyland will launch “Baymax’s Mission: Cool Down,” a refreshing daytime program that promises to soak the crowds in the best way. The fan-favorite Splash Mountain overlay returns too, with an upgraded twist called Get Soaked MAX Plus — the name says it all.
Over at Tokyo DisneySea, nights will light up with Dockside Splash Remix, a water-fueled dance show starring Mickey Mouse and friends. Held at Dockside Stage, this immersive event will feature fountains, fireworks, and plenty of cool mist to offset the summer humidity.
Exclusive Soundtrack and Summer Merch
Fueling the festivities is a brand-new summer theme song from Japanese band Mrs. GREEN APPLE, which will play on select attractions like The Happy Ride with Baymax and appear in seasonal entertainment like Get Soaked Harbor Splash. Special limited-edition merchandise inspired by the collaboration will drop in late July.
More Disney Magic Beyond the Parks
Disney Hotels aren’t missing out either. Guests staying on property will find custom menus, event-themed programming, and even night pool access. Meanwhile, fans of Disney aesthetics can snag exclusive day passes for the Disney Resort Line, which will sport new designs themed to the celebration.
Whether you’re hopping between parks, catching evening vibes, or getting drenched in Baymax-powered bliss, Summer 2025 at Tokyo Disney Resort promises to be a season to remember — with more freedom, more flexibility, and a whole lot more fun.
