More MagicBand and Fastpass+ Changes

All annual passholders should be able to customize and order your MagicBands at this time.

First, you must create an account on the MyDisneyExperience part of the Disney.go website or the Smartphone app.  Then, you can add your Annual Pass ticket information to your account along with everyone else in your family. Once you have done this, look for a link to MagicBands and go through the process to select colors and customize the names on the bands.

Bands will be shipped in late March.  MagicBands are only being shipped to within the USA at this time.

Another change being made is that annual passholders not staying on property will be limited to making Fastpass+ reservations 30 days in advance.  They can hold up to 7 days of FastPass+ reservations across a 30 day rolling window.  Those staying on property will still be able to make Fastpass+ reservations 60 days in advance.

From a recent Disney email:

“Now you can choose from double the number of attractions and experiences than our original Disney FASTPASS® Service provided. Plan for seven days of Disney FastPass+ selections within a 30 day period*. Your seven days don’t have to be consecutive-and you can plan for any additional day as soon as you use one of your existing days.”

Lastly, Passholders not staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel will not be able to add charging privileges on their MagicBands.  That is one feature that I will miss.  Especially at the Food and Wine Festival!
