Disney World Just Made Its Newest Parade Much Easier To See
Walt Disney World Resort has made it simpler than ever for guests to enjoy Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away at Magic Kingdom Park. Just one week after debuting the new nighttime parade, Disney has reversed the temporary reservation rules that had been put in place for Annual Passholders, making the experience even more accessible.
The Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away parade, which officially premiered on July 20, invites guests into a sparkling procession led by the Blue Fairy. It marks the first nighttime parade at Walt Disney World Resort in nearly a decade, and features vibrant floats inspired by Frozen (2013), Coco (2017), Encanto (2021), and others. Most nights, Magic Kingdom Park offers two performances of this dazzling parade.
To manage the crowds expected for such a major debut, Walt Disney World Resort temporarily reinstated the Disney Park Pass reservations for Annual Passholders from July 20 through July 27. This policy required Passholders to reserve their spot before visiting Magic Kingdom Park. Previously, Annual Passholders were allowed to visit the park without a reservation after 2:00 p.m. on most days, or at any time on designated “good-to-go” days.
However, just one week after the stricter reservation system was implemented, Magic Kingdom Park announced a return to its more relaxed policies. On July 28, Walt Disney World Resort revealed that the temporary reservation requirement for Passholders had been lifted. As announced by theme park journalist Scott Gustin (@ScottGustin) on X (formerly Twitter):
NEW: The limited-time theme park reservation requirements that were in place from July 20 to July 27 for Passholders visiting Magic Kingdom have ended as of today.

Now, Annual Passholders can return to Magic Kingdom after 2:00 p.m. Monday through Friday without needing a reservation, just as they did before the parade debuted. Reservations are still required on weekends.
Guests planning their visit to the Magic Kingdom are encouraged to check Walt Disney World Resort’s website for the latest updates on Disney Park Pass reservations and “good-to-go” days.
