Shortly before 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, police responded to a reported trespasser somewhere between Disney’s Contemporary Resort and Magic Kingdom Park. The news broke via the X (formerly known as Twitter) account @WDWActiveCrime, which monitors and publishes police scanner activity at Walt Disney World Resort:

A trespasser can refer to a variety of situations at Walt Disney World Resort. The company partners with local authorities to issue “trespass notices” to guests who violate property rules, effectively banning them from the Central Florida Disney parks for anywhere from one day to a lifetime. The “Trespasser” 911 call could indicate that Walt Disney World Resort wanted to ban someone new from the property, or that someone who had already been banned from the property returned to the Magic Kingdom Resort area.

It’s unclear where exactly the trespasser was apprehended. A walking path and the Monorail connect Magic Kingdom Park and Disney’s Contemporary Resort.

Walt Disney World Resort guests have nothing to worry about. Neither local authorities nor Disney has released statements urging guests to avoid the Magic Kingdom Resort area, and all four Central Florida Disney parks continue operating normally.

Guests who encounter law enforcement at the impacted Disney Resort hotels should follow all instructions from deputies and Disney cast members. Sometimes, authorities or Walt Disney World Resort employees will temporarily block off affected areas to keep everyone involved safe and protect the atmosphere of The Most Magical Place on Earth.
