Disney just revealed that a big part of its newest location, Lookout Cay, is adult-only. Parents will not be permitted to bring children into the area.
As one of the most family-friendly cruise lines, Disney Cruise Line makes its vessels as welcoming as possible for all guests. Disney Wish, Disney Magic, Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy, Disney Wonder, and the future Disney Treasure and Disney Adventure include age-based, child-only clubs and relaxing adult-only experiences.
Now, The Walt Disney Company is giving childless adult guests an opportunity to have a relaxing day at port.
Disney Cruise Line’s second private island, Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, officially opened to guests on June 7, 2024. Previously, Castaway Cay was The Walt Disney Company’s only private docking location in the Bahamas.
At Lookout Cay, guests can immerse themselves in architecture and entertainment inspired by Bahamian culture. They can lounge on the beach or try out a daring waterslide. Sebastian’s Cove, an island-inspired play area, promises an imagination-filled adventure exclusively for the littlest guests.
There’s lots of fun for the grown-ups, too. Disney Lookout Cay features a serene, adult-only beach, an adult-only market-style dining area, and three adult-only bars. Guests can rent private cabanas for the duration of their day at Lighthouse Point, conveniently located on the adult-only beach.
Parents or anyone with children in their travel party can use adult-only areas but can’t bring minors along. Minors must remain supervised by another adult if one of their guardians wishes to visit an 18+ Lookout Cay location.
Right now, only Disney Wish, Disney Magic, Disney Dream, and Disney Fantasy are traveling to Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point. Themed cruises stopping at the private island include Marvel Day at Sea, Very Merrytime, and Halloween on the High Seas.
