Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party just might be the most magical time to visit Walt Disney World. The party builds upon the Disney magic and delight of Magic Kingdom and adds all the sparkle and wonderment of Christmas, making it unlike any other time of the year. MVMCP takes place on select evenings in November and December at Magic Kingdom and is a special ticketed event. If you love Christmas and Disney, put this event on your bucket list. Here are just 10 of the amazing experiences to be had at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.
10. Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom Exclusive
Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom is a wildly popular interactive scavenger hunt-like game that can be played throughout Magic Kingdom Guests of all ages can collect spell cards and visit magic portals throughout the kingdom. There is a spell card available exclusively for MVMCP guests, which can be collected at the Firehouse on Main Street. This year’s card features Goofy, and is called Goofy’s Festive Fiasco. It’s a fun collectable and memento of the party and a good incentive to play Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom, if you haven’t already.
9. Exclusive Merchandise
During MVMCP there is exclusive merchandise available. These items include a MagicBand, event t-shirts as well as trading pins. There’s even an exclusive t-shirt for Annual Passholders. These special items are only available at certain locations, and are listed in the event guide.
8. The Show
New this year to the party is Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration, a festive stage show in front of the castle, which plays four times a night at the party. Mickey invites his friends over for a wonderful Christmas party. The show features dancing and singing, Christmas carols, and beautiful projections on the castle to set the scene. In addition to Mickey and his pals, guests can see the reindeers, Clarabelle, Woody, Peter Pan and Wendy and even the Three Caballeros. And for Muppets fans, there’s a song you might recognize from The Muppet Christmas Carol.
7. Club Tinsel
Club Tinsel is a character dance party at Cosmic Rays in Tomorrowland, which runs continuously throughout the evening. This is a fun way to interact with characters during the event. Although they won’t be signing autographs, dancing with friends, family and characters is a unique experience to have at MVMCP.
6. Free Snacks
During the party guests can get free snacks around the park. The locations are clearly marked and each one offers something a little different. There are a few types of cookies including a delicious snickerdoodle cookie, snow cones, hot chocolate and cider. Keep an eye out for these snack locations as you wander around the park.

5. Meet and Greets
The character meet and greets at MVMCP are amazing at this event and part of the big draw for Disney fans. There are a number of rare character experiences here, and lines can get long so it’s a good idea to get in line early, even before the party officially starts if possible. This year Nick and Judy from Zootopia are available for meet and greets, as are Donald and Scrooge McDuck, Goofy appears in his Santa costume, Jack as Sandy Claws is popular, and Big Al is there too for all those Country Bear fans. Perhaps one of the most popular character meet and greets at the party are the seven dwarfs. Getting a picture with all seven is quite the magical experience. And in keeping with the Christmas spirit, Santa is also at the Magic Kingdom for a meet and greet and photos.
4. Short Lines
Due to the fact that MVMCP is a special ticketed event, there are only a certain number of tickets sold for each party, which means the crowds are much, much lower. It may not feel like there are less people in the park when you’re shuffling down Main Street or at the castle watching the parade, but one look at the wait lines around the park will tell you otherwise. Although the party is full of exclusive experiences, it’s good to take advantage of the short wait times for some typically busy rides. If you plan your evening out well, you should be able to do all the experiences you’re hoping to do, and pretty much walk onto a few attractions as well.
3. Snow on Main Street
Throughout the evening guests can wander down Main Street and experience snow in Florida! The snow compliments the lights and decorations on Main Street, and is really the cherry on top of the whole party. While it’s a small detail, it’s the one Disney detail that just might feel the most magical.
2. The Parade
Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade runs twice during the party, and this is a must see if you are attending the event. It’s full of Christmas cheer, Disney characters in holiday costumes and beautiful floats. You’ll even see rare characters like Clarabelle Cow as she bakes cookies in the parade, the toy soldiers and the reindeer are also parade highlights.
1. Holiday Wishes
These fireworks are not your regular fireworks, in fact they’re not even your regular every day Disney fireworks! At 10:00pm the special Holiday Wishes fireworks explode over Magic Kingdom for over 10 minutes. You’ll hear classic Christmas carols, and Jiminy Cricket’s familiar voice. Whether you find a viewing spot close to the castle or further away from the action, Holiday Wishes is a fireworks spectacular of epic proportions that will leave you filled with the holiday spirit.
