Disney World Reveals New Look for Iconic BoardWalk, Coming Soon

A darker, moodier aesthetic is emerging along Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, offering guests their clearest look yet at what’s replacing one of Walt Disney World Resort’s most iconic nightlife spots.

The EPCOT Resort Area hotel has been under construction on multiple fronts this month. Disney Dining previously reported that new turf was being installed in the Village Green area, which closed on August 10 and will remain off-limits to Walt Disney World Resort guests through September 4.

Now, a second project is coming into focus.

Crews are repainting the facade of the space that once housed Jellyrolls, the dueling piano bar that closed in early 2025. Walt Disney World Resort has already confirmed the location’s next chapter: The Hurly Burly Jazz Club, a venue blending a family-friendly, seaside theater atmosphere during the day with an adults-only live music lounge after dark. The concept will also feature themed cocktails and light bites for guests.

WDWNT reported on August 23 that the venue’s iconic wave design is being repainted in a darker shade of blue. The lakeside portion of the building already reflects the new color scheme, while the side facing the BoardWalk still shows the older, lighter blue for now, giving guests a real-time look at the transformation in progress.

When Will It Open?

Walt Disney World Resort has said that The Hurly Burly Jazz Club is targeting a late 2026 debut, though the company has yet to confirm an exact grand opening date. Guests staying at or passing through Disney’s BoardWalk Inn should expect the construction to continue as that debut timeline approaches.
