A Walt Disney World Resort visit is meant to bring laughter, smiles, and lasting memories for guests of all ages. However, for a few visitors between August and October 2025, their time at The Most Magical Place on Earth took an unexpected turn, as the most recent quarterly incident report from Central Florida’s theme parks reveals.
Covering the months of August through October, the latest report lists four separate incidents at Walt Disney World Resort involving guest injuries across three of the six parks. Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom each reported an incident, while Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, and Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park had none during the same timeframe.
At Typhoon Lagoon, two separate incidents occurred. In late July, a 56-year-old woman sustained a head injury after being struck by another guest in the park’s signature wave pool. Weeks later, in mid-August, a 44-year-old woman fell and struck her head while exiting the family-friendly Miss Adventure Falls attraction.
Meanwhile, at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, a 50-year-old man experienced chest pains upon exiting Toy Story Mania! in Toy Story Land during early September. Around the same time at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, a 77-year-old woman fell while disembarking from Na’vi River Journey in Pandora–The World of Avatar.
Across Central Florida, Walt Disney World wasn’t the only park submitting updates. Universal Orlando Resort reported seven incidents, including one fatality involving a guest, Kevin Rodriguez Zavala, who passed away after riding Stardust Racers at the upcoming Epic Universe theme park. Following the tragedy, the attraction reopened on October 4 with updated accessibility and safety guidelines.
Elsewhere, SeaWorld Orlando reported one incident, while both Busch Gardens and Legoland Florida had none during this same period.
Guests visiting Disney theme parks can always expect the company to uphold strict safety measures and continuously monitor attractions to ensure a positive and safe experience for everyone who steps through the gates.
