Guests have shared immediate operational changes at Disneyland Park ahead of the long-awaited opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.

Since the attraction was first announced, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure has taken Disney fans by storm. It has divided long-time enthusiasts of the ride’s divisive predecessor, Splash Mountain, and guests excited about the reimagined experience inspired by Disney’s The Princess and the Frog (2009), which features Princess Tiana and her friends.

Sadly, Magic Kingdom’s newest coaster has had a rocky start. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure has faced multiple operational concerns and breakdowns since its opening in Walt Disney World Resort on June 28, underwhelming guests who have waited so long to ride the attraction.

Additionally, guests have irresponsibly jumped from the attraction while in movement, forcing emergency shutdowns and further hindering the ride’s operations.

Regardless of these drawbacks, Disneyland officials are still full steam ahead, preparing for the long-awaited opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Disneyland Park later this year.

Ahead of this much-anticipated event, guests visiting Walt Disney’s original theme park have reported immediate operational changes at Disneyland, celebrating the return of an iconic attraction.

Pooh Corner resumed operations on August 29, along with The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, while Louis’ Critter Club and Ray’s Berets will open at a later date. These locations can be found at Critter Country, but not for long.

Theme park and entertainment journalist Scott Gustin (@ScottGustin) shared a post on X (formerly known as Twitter) mentioning that “the land is still named Critter Country until it officially changes to Bayou Country when Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opens on November 15.”

Gustin added that some signs and spiels will change before that date, but the land’s new name won’t be official until November 15.

Another exciting addition to Bayou Country will revive the Southern musical icons in Country Bear Jamboree, who will return to Disneyland Park after a 23-year tour.

Disney officials shared: “It’s official: The Country Bears are taking over Hungry Bear Restaurant at Disneyland Park and transforming it into Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree!”

The reimagined restaurant will offer “regional barbecue dishes the Country Bears discovered while on tour, all while foot-stompin’ and finger-snappin’ to the Country Bears greatest hits!”

Disneyland officials will release more details about this reimagining, including its opening date, later.

Revisiting ride closures, “it’s a small world” is scheduled to shut its gates on September 16, according to Disneyland’s official calendar. The iconic ride is planned to reopen as “it’s a small world” Holiday on November 15.

“it’s a small world” recently became a hot topic as Disney parks officials teased a first look at the Marvel-inspired animatronics that will take over Tokyo Disney’s version of the attraction, transforming it into “it’s a small world with Groot.” The makeover will begin on January 15 and run through June 30, 2025.
