Hurricane Hanna’s Grill Review

Hurricane Hanna’s Grill Review

Providing guests the ultimate in waterfront recreation, Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resort offers access to a New England-style luxury that will have you in complete relaxation mode. From the surf to the sand, the Yacht and Beach Club is a haven where beach bums of all ages can come and catch some rays. And the atmosphere wouldn’t be complete without a grub shack like Hurricane Hanna’s Grill.

Hurricane Hanna’s Grill is a quick service restaurant and bar with fast and delicious eats ranging from Hanna’s 1/3 Bacon Angus Cheeseburger to the Vegetarian Quinoa Wrap. The bar also supplies wonderfully mixed drinks that will take you from tropically tipsy to dangerously daiquiri-ed in no time at all. Needless to say, there is something for kids of all ages, but something special for those over 21.

We arrived to the Yacht and Beach Club Resort on the most convenient form of transportation in the area, the ferryboat, which makes stops at Epcot, Hollywood Studios, The Boardwalk, The Swan and Dolphin, and, of course, Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club. Approaching from the water is a far more rewarding experience than the front door, as you get a complete look at the beautiful facilities, complete with pirate ship and windmill.

Right away, we could tell Hurricane Hanna’s was hopping. Taking a seat at the bar while pondering what would best suited our hunger pains, this reviewer didn’t hesitate to indulge in a Skinny Coconut Mojito. Topped with a lime peel and a decoratively twisted palm frond, it immediately sent us spiraling into a tropical heaven, where coconut vodka, mint, lime and agave nectar all came to play in the sand. The bar had our seal of approval, but we still needed some grub.

Though a juicy Lobster and Shrimp Roll was tempting and the Vegetarian Quinoa Wrap had us intrigued, it was the Grilled Cheese and Smoked Bacon Sandwich that caught our eye. The cast member behind the counter vouched for its splendor, and a few moments later, when we were staring down the crust of this beauty, it was clear we had made the right decision. Now, this isn’t your everyday grilled cheese. This baby starts with Vermont cheddar and blue cheese. Tied in neatly like a bow between bread, the apple butter brought it all together, adding a bit of sweetness to the otherwise cheesy goodness. And well, why not add some bacon? Along with the Skinny Coconut Mojito and a side of apple slaw, there could be no better poolside delight.

With a full bar, a quick service menu of succulent dishes, and a poolside location, it’s no wonder Hurricane Hanna’s Grill has made a name for itself as the first stop in beach and poolside snacks and drinks for the resort. Whether you are soaking up a tan or leaping into the pool with a cannon ball, you’ll no doubt find it to be a convenient and utterly delicious choice. After all, why track wet feet inside when you’ve got a place like Hurricane Hanna’s Grill?
