Hundreds of Disney Vacations Changed: Notices Issued to All Affected Guests
Hundreds of Disney guests have received notice of updated vacation plans.
Disney has long been synonymous with unforgettable vacations, crafting immersive experiences that blend storytelling, innovation, and exceptional service. This legacy extends seamlessly to Disney Cruise Line, where the magic of Disney meets the adventure of the open sea.
Each voyage is thoughtfully designed, offering world-class entertainment, themed dining, and signature character interactions—all with the same attention to detail found in Disney’s iconic parks. Whether sailing to tropical destinations or exploring new horizons, Disney Cruise Line transforms every journey into a storybook adventure, ensuring the enchantment never ends.
However, that doesn’t mean the Disney Cruise Line isn’t totally immune to the regular complications that may plague a Disney vacation. This week is proof, with hundreds of vacations updated over an itinerary changed aboard the Disney Treasure.
According to Cruise Hive, guests have received notice that their itineraries have changed aboard the ship in May 2026.
Disney Cruise Line has notified guests booked on the May 23, 2026, sailing of Disney Treasure about an itinerary change.
As per the notice: “The itinerary for your cruise has recently been modified by swapping the days the ship will visit Tortola, British Virgin Islands, and St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands.”
The Disney Treasure’s 7-night Eastern Caribbean sailing will still visit both ports, but the order of port visits has changed. Originally, the itinerary from Port Canaveral included two sea days, then stops at Tortola and St. Thomas.
The ship will now spend Sunday and Monday at sea following embarkation on Saturday, May 23. The ship will visit St. Thomas first on May 26, followed by Tortola on May 27. The final sea day and the stop at Castaway Cay remain unchanged.
Disney Cruise Line has not explained why Disney Treasure is swapping the order of port visits for this sailing. Port congestion is a likely reason, as schedules often shift, especially this far in advance.
While Disney Treasure was the only ship scheduled for Tortola on May 26, Norwegian Luna is set to be in port on May 27 — the new date. It’s more likely, however, that St. Thomas’s schedule was too crowded for Disney to deliver the experience guests expect.
This isn’t the first time a Disney Cruise Line vacation has been altered. In November, it changed multiple vacations due to ongoing unrest in New Caledonia. Earlier this month, guests also had their Puerto Rico itineraries altered due to a lack of availability at the port in San Juan.
