How To Build the Best Holiday Meal at Disney World
The Walt Disney World Resort has a renowned reputation for a lot of things: engaging storytelling, immersive performances, and thrilling attractions. But one of my favorite things to enjoy while visiting Disney World is all the delicious food. From signature fine dining to iconic Mickey-shaped snacks, there’s no shortage of great-tasting options.
As we head into the holiday season, many guests will arrive at Walt Disney World to celebrate the holidays with friends and family. But you may wonder, where can I find a warm, home-cooked holiday meal at Disney World? Even if you’re celebrating the holidays away from home this season, you don’t have to miss out on comfort food. Disney has delightful dishes that will make you feel warm and fuzzy on the inside (and that you don’t have to prepare!).
Today, come along with me as we dive into how to build the best holiday meal at restaurants across the Walt Disney World Resort.
Turkey and Mashed Potatoes
First and foremost, we have to talk about where you can find delicious turkey for your holiday feast. Now, you can always pick up a smoked turkey leg in the park…But if you’re looking for something a little more hearty and homemade, let’s head to Liberty Tree Tavern. Liberty Tree Tavern is a table service restaurant in Magic Kingdom’s Liberty Square. This restaurant does require an advanced dining reservation, which can be made online or through the My Disney Experience app.
Liberty Tree Tavern is a great “one-stop shop” when it comes to holiday cooking, earning its place as our first stop. In this cozy tavern, enjoy the Patriot’s Platter, stocked with roasted turkey, pot roast, mashed potatoes, herbed stuffing, and seasonal vegetables. You can even finish your meal with the Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake for a sweet dessert.
Since this is the main course of many’s holiday feast, I thought I’d add one more excellent stop: American Holiday Table. American Holiday Table is a seasonal Holiday Kitchen offered at EPCOT for the International Festival of the Holidays. Visit for slow-roasted turkey served with mashed potatoes, green beans, and cranberry sauce. While you’re there, pick up a gingerbread cookie!

Macaroni and Cheese
Now, if we’re looking for some of the famous holiday sides, one of the best sides to start with is macaroni and cheese. You can try delicious macaroni and cheese at Gasparilla Island Grill. This quick service restaurant is located at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. If you don’t have a resort reservation, you can reach this restaurant after a quick monorail ride from the Magic Kingdom.
Once you arrive, enjoy Gasparilla’s delicious, warm, and melty house-made macaroni and cheese, the perfect holiday comfort food. For a limited time, you can also enjoy seasonal menu items like the pumpkin cheesecake and the pumpkin-cranberry muffin.

Since it’s such a popular dish, I have a second recommendation to grab some comfy macaroni and cheese. Stop by Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ at Disney Springs and enjoy Momma’s Mac and Cheese. This baked mac and cheese is gooey, cheesy, and baked to perfection. This dining location requires reservations, so be sure to make an advanced dining reservation online or through the My Disney Experience app.
Sweet Corn
No holiday meal would be complete without some hearty veggies; sweet corn is a favorite. Let’s head to the Harambe Fruit Market in Disney’s Animal Kingdom to find the best sweet corn. Harambe Fruit Market is a quick service restaurant in Africa, and it serves scrumptious grilled corn on the cob. This corn is available with or without signature African spices, but both styles are delightful.
Holiday Rolls
‘Ohana may not be your first thought for a holiday meal at Walt Disney World. However, if you’re looking for delicious bread or rolls, there’s no place better. While both meal times at ‘Ohana have great bread options, grab a dinner reservation if you can. As a part of your dinner offerings, you’ll enjoy the Signature ‘Ohana Bread with honey butter. In addition to bread, this meal also includes honey-coriander chicken wings, pork dumplings, grilled teriyaki beef, grilled chicken, shrimp, ‘Ohana noodles, and the famous ‘Ohana Bread Pudding.

Holiday Meal (Available on Thanksgiving Only)
We couldn’t discuss the holidays without talking about the holiday meal offered at Roaring Fork. Roaring Fork is a table service restaurant at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. This restaurant is filled with bold flavors and big fun from the Cast Members. If you’re at Walt Disney World for Thanksgiving, grab a reservation to enjoy the holiday meal served here.
This holiday meal is only available on Thanksgiving Day but includes all the works. Dine on roasted turkey, cornbread stuffing, mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables, and cranberry relish. If you’re traveling with kids, this is a great restaurant that serves a kids’ holiday meal and offers a fun dining atmosphere.
