Holiday Lockout: Final Disney Date Sells Out as Magic Kingdom Blocks Passholders
If you’ve been dragging your feet on buying Jollywood Nights tickets, your procrastination just caught up with you. The final party date of the season—December 22, 2025—just sold out, leaving only FOUR nights available for Hollywood Studios’ vintage Hollywood holiday bash. And based on how fast dates have been disappearing? These last four won’t survive much longer.

December 10, 13, 17, and 20 are all that’s left. That’s it. Two Wednesdays at $189 per ticket and two Saturdays at $199. Annual Passholders and DVC Members get a measly $10 discount, but let’s be real—at these prices, ten bucks doesn’t move the needle much.
The December 22nd sellout is particularly telling because it was the LAST date of the entire season. Disney could’ve kept this one available as the final chance for stragglers to buy tickets, but nope—strong demand right through the end. That’s how popular this event has become.
What’s Actually Still Available

Here’s your remaining shot at Jollywood Nights 2025:
December 10 (Wednesday) – $189 ($179 AP/DVC)
December 13 (Wednesday) – $189 ($179 AP/DVC)
December 17 (Saturday) – $199 ($189 AP/DVC)
December 20 (Saturday) – $199 ($189 AP/DVC)
Four dates. That’s all Disney’s giving you. And considering the first Jollywood event sold out back in OCTOBER, followed by November dates selling out weeks later, and now the finale is gone? Yeah, these four are living on borrowed time.
The Saturday premium is typical Disney, charge more for weekends because they know people will pay it. Whether that extra $10 per ticket is worth it depends on your schedule, but most people aren’t making decisions based on saving forty bucks for a family of four.
Is It Even Worth Two Hundred Bucks?

Let’s talk about whether dropping $189-199 per person for a few hours at Hollywood Studios makes any sense.
What you get: Five hours (7:30 PM to 12:30 AM) when the park is way less crowded than daytime. Exclusive entertainment with that 1940s Hollywood Christmas vibe. Special food and drinks you can’t get during regular hours. Character meets in holiday costumes with actually reasonable wait times. And exclusive merchandise if you’re into that.
What you’re paying for: Basically, you’re buying lower crowds and exclusive experiences. Whether that’s worth nearly two hundred dollars per person is deeply personal. For Disney completists and people who love special events? Absolutely. For budget-conscious families who could use that money for an entire extra park day? Maybe not.
Do the math for your group. A family of four is dropping $756-796 for ONE EVENING. That’s a car payment. That’s a really nice vacation somewhere else. That’s a lot of Dole Whips.
Holiday Crowds Are INSANE Right Now
Jollywood selling out is just one piece of the chaos happening at Disney World during the holidays. December is always nuts, but this year feels especially intense.
Magic Kingdom Annual Passholder reservations just sold out for December 30th, joining the already-gone Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve. So Passholders literally can’t start their day at Magic Kingdom on those dates unless park hopping opens up later. That’s how slammed the resort is.
Disney’s running TWO separate holiday events simultaneously—Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom (through December 21) and Jollywood Nights at Hollywood Studios (through December 22). Both are selling out prime dates left and right, forcing people to plan months ahead or miss out entirely.
Beyond special events, regular park operations are getting crushed by crowds. Wait times are brutal. Dining reservations are impossible. And everyone’s paying premium holiday prices for the privilege of dealing with all this chaos.
Magic Kingdom Is Getting COMPLETELY Rebuilt
While we’re talking about Disney World madness, let’s not forget Magic Kingdom is in the middle of massive transformations that will change the park forever.
Rivers of America, Tom Sawyer Island, and Liberty Square River Boat all closed permanently this year after being there since 1971. Disney demolished these classics to build Piston Peak, a new Cars-themed area. It’s controversial—trading nostalgic originals for modern Pixar IP—but Disney’s committed to the change.
The park just opened The Beak and Barrel, a Pirates-themed bar adding adult dining options.
But the BIG news is Villains Land, announced at D23 2024. This completely new land celebrating Disney villains is one of the most ambitious Magic Kingdom expansions ever and had the fan community absolutely losing it when Disney revealed it.
Smaller updates include renovations to Carousel of Progress, Buzz Lightyear, and Big Thunder Mountain to keep those aging attractions running.
Should You Pull the Trigger on Tickets?
Decision time. Four Jollywood dates left, and they’re probably selling out soon based on the pattern we’ve seen all season.
Buy if: You’re visiting mid-to-late December anyway, you want exclusive holiday experiences, you love vintage Hollywood vibes, you prefer lower crowds, or you’re a Disney completist who needs to experience everything.
Skip if: Your budget is tight and $200 per person feels crazy, you’re not super into Hollywood Studios or 1940s themes, that money would be better spent elsewhere, or you’ve been before and don’t need to repeat.
For families, remember that four people means $756-796 for one night. That’s serious money that could fund other vacation priorities.
The Reality Check
December 22 is sold out. Only December 10, 13, 17, and 20 remain at $189-199 depending on the day. AP and DVC save ten bucks but it’s still expensive.
The sellouts show Disney World holiday demand is absolutely bonkers right now. Between Jollywood, Very Merry Christmas Party, sold-out Magic Kingdom reservations, and overwhelming regular park crowds, this is peak chaos season at the resort.
If you want Jollywood Nights this year, buy tickets NOW. Waiting another week might mean finding zero availability. Whether it’s worth the price is your call, but availability is definitely disappearing fast.
The clock is ticking. Four dates left. Make your choice.
