The Disney After Hours season for 2025 is officially underway, and it’s starting with a bang as the January 6 event at Magic Kingdom has completely sold out. For those unfamiliar, Disney After Hours is a separately ticketed event that allows guests to enjoy the park after regular closing times. Attendees can enter as early as 7 PM and stay for three hours after the gates have officially closed to the public. These events are an excellent opportunity to enjoy the magic of Disney in a quieter, more relaxed atmosphere.

If you missed out on tickets for the January 6 event, don’t worry—there are plenty of other dates available at Magic Kingdom through May. Tickets range between $175 and $185, with discounts offered to Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club Members. Guests can also look forward to After Hours events at EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios later in the season.

As exciting as these events are, 2025 is shaping up to be a year of significant changes at Walt Disney World. Several attractions will be closing for refurbishments or updates. Test Track at EPCOT is already undergoing a transformation, and Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin in Magic Kingdom will soon follow with an upgrade to its technology. Big Thunder Moutain is also getting a refresh to keep the classic attraction in top condition.

In addition to these closures, there’s growing anticipation for new additions to the parks. Magic Kingdom’s Villains-themed land has fans speculating about how it could reshape the park experience. With so much happening, this is a unique time to enjoy the parks and experience attractions before they undergo changes.
