Welcome, foolish mortals, to the Haunted Mansion. I am not your ghost host, but I do have some exciting news. At Sunday’s Disney Parks Panel, Disney Parks Chairman Josh D’Amaro revealed that someone very special will soon be making his appearance at the Haunted Mansion in Magic Kingdom Park.

If you are a fan of Disneyland Resort, then you may already know who this special character is. He was around when the attraction originally opened and then went away for a few decades, but now he is back. That’s right, I am talking about The Hatbox Ghost!

The Hatbox Ghost has a major cult following and will soon be making his Disney World debut. The Hatbox Ghost is so popular, in fact, that he will be a part of Disney’s newest live-action remake — The Haunted Mansion. As we previously reported, The Hatbox Ghost will be played by Oscar-winning actor, Jared Leto.
The Hatbox Ghost will be making his Walt Disney World debut sometime in 2023. Disney Dining will keep you updated when we have a specific date.
