Guests Stumble Into Surprise Disney Concert Series

This summer at Walt Disney World is turning out to be a lot cooler—and louder—than guests expected. While most people show up for the rides and character meet-and-greets, EPCOT is delivering something you don’t usually associate with theme park summers: live concerts worth stopping for.

Right now, the American Gardens Theater is alive with music, thanks to a surprise entertainment offering called Summer Sounds of EPCOT. And it’s not just background noise—it’s a legit musical lineup featuring fan-favorites from around World Showcase.

Live Music Brings EPCOT to Life

In a fun twist, Command Performance, the British rock band normally found strumming away in the U.K. Pavilion, has packed up and moved to the big stage. They’ll be performing a full set multiple times daily from July 18 through 22 and again on July 25 and 26. If you’re into U.K. rock and pop from across the decades, this is your jam.

Following that, Mariachi Cobre—who typically play in the Mexico Pavilion—steps in from July 27, performing every Saturday through Wednesday for three straight weeks. These guys know how to energize a crowd, and watching them under the stars in the open-air amphitheater is a summer moment you won’t forget.

Meanwhile, Across the Parks…

While EPCOT has found its groove, the other parks are also pulling out all the stops. Magic Kingdom is dazzling guests with the debut of Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away, a new nighttime parade that’s all about sparkling lights, Disney magic, and unforgettable music.

Hollywood Studios is serving up a major villain moment with Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After, and EPCOT’s new ¡Celebración Encanto! at CommuniCore Plaza is a high-energy, sing-along celebration of family and magic.

Whether you’re chilling at a concert or getting soaked on Kali River Rapids, Disney’s Cool KID SUMMER has something for every kind of fan.

Andrew Boardwine

A frequent visitor of Walt Disney World Resort and Universal Orlando Resort, Andrew will likely be found freefalling on Twilight Zone Tower of Terror or enjoying Pirates of the Caribbean. Over at Universal, he'll be taking in the thrills of the Jurassic World Velocicoaster and Revenge of the Mummy
