Guests Left Alone With Guns on Broken Disneyland Ride
Disneyland Resort guests were recently left alone with some unusual props on a broken-down ride. Two of the stranded Disney Park guests shared their experience in a video on TikTok.
The guests were stuck on Toy Story Midway Mania!, an interactive 4-D attraction in Pixar Pier at Disney California Adventure Park. The Toy Story (1995) ride opened in 2008 when the area was still known as Paradise Pier and was one of the few things Disneyland Resort didn’t have to retheme during the 2018 Pixar Pier reimagining.
On Tuesday, TikTok user @theskinl0ve shared this video of herself and another Disney Park guest stuck on Toy Story Midway Mania!. The guests were trapped near the ride‘s loading area, facing staredowns from families waiting to board.
“When you get stuck on a disney ride….with your bestie…facing the crowd,” the TikToker wrote. “Why do we still have the 3D glasses on?! We sat here for a cute minute too.”

“Do you want to tell the people what’s happening?” the TikToker asked her friend.
“Uh, nothing is happening, as you can see,” she replied. “I should be shooting!”
The digital Toy Story Midway Mania! screens still instructed guests to “Pull the strings to shoot” as they sat waiting for rescue from the broken-down ride. Riders could fiddle with the prop guns but otherwise could not interact with the attraction.
Disneyland Resort rarely issues statements on temporary ride closures, and this incident was no different. It’s unclear how long Toy Story Midway Mania! was broken down or if any riders required evacuation. However, the Disney California Adventure Park attraction has since reopened and was operating normally at the time of this article’s publication.
If you find yourself on a broken-down ride at Disneyland Resort or Walt Disney World Resort, remain seated and do not tamper with safety restraints. Await instructions from Disney cast members, who are trained to restart or evacuate stopped attractions efficiently.
