We previously announced that a Guardians of the Galaxy meet and greet was planned for Disney’s Hollywood Studios. We are excited to also announce that this meet and greet is officially open to guests. Star Lord and Groot are currently meeting with guests throughout the day, every day. The meet and greet is expected to at least run through the rest of 2017, and we aren’t sure how long it will continue after that. That decision will likely be based on popularity and what other possible meet and greets Disney may want to put in place to promote upcoming films.
This meet and greet is perfectly timed with the opening of the new movie, Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2. The movie opened today, May 5th, in theaters for the first time. This meet and greet is expected to be quite popular, as new unique meet and greets always tend to interest guests of all ages. It is always a ton of fun to meet your favorite characters.
This meet and greet replaced the Moana meet and greet at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. No worries, though, the plan is for her to relocate to Adventureland at Magic Kingdom to continue meet and greets in a land that is more better suited to the theme of her movie.
