Grand Opening Announced for Disney’s ‘Frozen’ World Theme Park

Disneyland Paris Resort has officially revealed the opening date for its newly reimagined second gate, which will welcome guests in March 2026. The updated park, called Disney Adventure World, will open alongside the debut of the expansive World of Frozen area, transforming the former Walt Disney Studios Park into a fully immersive experience inspired by some of Disney’s most popular stories.

The announcement, shared on November 24, confirmed that the redesigned park will open to guests on March 29, 2026. Rather than continuing as a production-focused destination, Disney Adventure World will shift toward full-scale story immersion, mirroring the evolution of Disney-MGM Studios into Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World Resort.

New Lands, Expanded Food Options, and a Nighttime Spectacular

When the Disney Adventure World gates open in 2026, visitors will encounter a dramatically larger park. The expanded footprint includes the World of Frozen, a Tangled (2010)-inspired attraction, 15 brand-new dining locations, and a central lake designed to host a nighttime show called Disney Cascade of Lights.

NEW: Disney Cascade of Lights is coming to Adventure Bay at Disney Adventure World in March. This 360 degree show features hundreds of drones, choreographed fountains, water screens, pyrotechnics, and the recently announced, world’s first aquatic drone system.

The revamped park will also include the Worlds of Pixar, World Premiere, and Marvel Avengers Campus areas.

A Deeper Look Inside the All-New World of Frozen

World of Frozen will recreate the snowy kingdom of Arendelle, complete with Anna and Elsa’s meet-and-greet, Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs, and Frozen Ever After—an enhanced version of the EPCOT boat ride. The land features iconic landmarks, including the North Mountain and Elsa’s Ice Palace, towering over the Norwegian village.

On Monday, Walt Disney Imagineering also shared a first look at a state-of-the-art roaming Olaf audio-animatronic that will interact with guests. This figure will appear in both the Disneyland Paris version of the land and at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort.
