Gone Mad Party Back at Walt Disney World’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

If you want to view the Happily Ever After fireworks show from Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, then you definitely want to check out the Gone Made Party.  The party takes place just outside the Gasparilla Island Grill at the resort.  The area will be bringing back the Gone Mad Party every Wednesday during the month of June!  The event takes place from 7 PM to 9:30 PM on these select Wednesdays.  Guests can watch the fireworks from the Gasparilla Island Grill’s outside seating with the music piped into the area so that you can hear music with the fireworks.

During the event and leading up to the fireworks, there will be music, dancing and other fun entertainment and decor at the event.  It is themed to Alice and Wonderland, so you can expect a high amount of entertainment based on those songs and characters. The event is completely free to attend, but if you want food and treats while you are there, they will only be available for an extra charge.  The treats include items like alcoholic beverages, sodas, specialty cupcakes and various other items.  You also don’t have to be a guest at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa to attend the event, any guest can attend.  The space is only available on a first come, first served basis so it is a good idea to get there early.  You can also call ahead to the resort to be sure that the event hasn’t been cancelled for some reason (especially inclement weather) before you head over there.

We don’t know yet if the event will continue into future months or possibly even additional evenings.  It may depend on the popularity of the June evenings.

Doesn’t this sound like a fun way to watch the fireworks?  Who plans to check out the event this June?

About Christy Caby

I am a diehard Disney fanatic! I fell in love with all things Disney from an early age and that only increased once I first visited Walt Disney World! It led me to complete a yearlong Disney College Program working at merchandise locations within Disney’s Hollywood Studios (Disney-MGM Studios at that time) and I worked for Disney Parks & Resorts Technology in Project/Program Management. Now I get to write about Disney and help others plan their magical vacations! Disney holds a special place in the hearts of my entire family as my husband proposed there, we honeymooned there, took trips while pregnant with each of my boys and have visited with them many, many times from 8 weeks old through now. One of my favorite memories from each trip is always the look on my kids’ faces the first time they see the castle. I’d love to help you plan your magical vacation!
