Most Walt Disney World guests spend their vacations riding attractions, meeting favorite characters, and enjoying time with family. Behind the scenes, however, local deputies are constantly responding to calls across the massive Central Florida resort.
A newly released July 2026 activity summary shows that local law enforcement handled 469 calls for service connected to Walt Disney World during the month.
The report paints a picture of the wide variety of situations law enforcement encounters at one of the world’s busiest vacation destinations.
A Wide Range of Calls
Traffic-related incidents made up the largest share of July’s activity.
Deputies responded to 59 vehicle crashes, followed by 39 trespassing complaints, 33 verbal disputes, 25 suspicious incidents, and 23 well-being checks.
Battery-related investigations were also common. The monthly report lists 22 battery calls that were gone on arrival, another 18 battery incidents, and two aggravated battery cases.
Other categories included 21 emergency 911 calls, seven petty thefts, six stolen vehicle reports, six physical fights, and five grand theft investigations.
Given the sheer size of Walt Disney World, many of these responses involve routine matters that are resolved without major consequences.

More Serious Incidents Were Also Reported
Several entries involved more significant law enforcement responses.
The July summary includes two burglary calls involving hotels, two missing person investigations, two missing endangered person cases, two child neglect investigations, and two threats or assault calls.
Deputies also responded to one aggravated assault, one fraud investigation, one hit-and-run, one fishing violation, and one reported weapon discharge.
As with any dispatch report, these entries reflect the reason deputies were initially called and should not automatically be interpreted as confirmed criminal offenses.
The Weapon Discharge Report
The lone weapon discharge entry appears to correspond with a July 14 incident at Flamingo Crossings Village.
The apartment community houses many Disney College Program participants and other Cast Members working at Walt Disney World. Deputies responded after receiving a report of a weapon discharge during the evening. Publicly available information about the incident remains limited, and authorities have not released additional findings regarding injuries or potential charges.
Disney Continues to Stress Guest Safety
Although reports like this naturally attract attention, they represent only a tiny fraction of the millions of guest visits Walt Disney World sees each year.
Still, recent years have brought an increase in highly publicized incidents involving disruptive guest behavior, including fights, trespassing, and guests refusing to comply with Cast Member instructions. Disney has continued enforcing its rules, with penalties ranging from removal from the parks to permanent bans and criminal prosecution in more serious cases.
For anyone planning a visit, the message is simple. Listen to Cast Members, follow posted rules, and treat other guests with respect. A Walt Disney World vacation should end with photos, souvenirs, and lasting memories—not a police report.
