Disney Erases Remaining Element of Original Tower of Terror Attraction
Disneyland Resort is moving forward with another visible change tied to the legacy of The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror at Disney California Adventure Park. Construction crews are now actively transforming what many longtime Disney Park guests recognized as one of the final physical remnants of the attraction’s original theming.
While Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! replaced The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror in 2017, not every visual reference to the former ride disappeared at once. Nearly a decade later, one holdover from the Disney California Adventure Park attraction’s FastPass era is finally getting a new identity.
A Small Structure With Big History

The building in question is the former FastPass kiosk located near the current Marvel Studios-themed attraction. For years, it quietly remained in place, even after the ride’s storyline and facade were reimagined entirely.
In January, construction walls went up around the structure, signaling that something was about to change. Shortly after, Disneyland Resort filed a permit indicating that the kiosk would be converted into an outdoor dining space.
Now, work has officially begun.

On February 25, WDWNT reported that Disney cast members were seen repainting multiple sides of the building. Much of the structure has been refreshed in gray and orange tones, though some design elements from its Tower of Terror days are still visible. Bronze accents and a maroon-and-gold art deco-style clock remain in place, at least for now.
From FastPass to Food Service
The former kiosk once served as a distribution point for paper FastPass return times, allowing guests to skip long standby waits. With the retirement of the FastPass system and the introduction of newer digital queueing tools, the building has largely sat unused.

Disneyland Resort has not shared an official opening date for the new outdoor dining location.
