The nerve of some Disneyland Guests…. are we right?
Disneyland, known as the “Happiest Place on Earth,” has captured the hearts and imaginations of millions of Guests. As Guests flock to the beloved theme park to experience its magical attractions, there is an unfortunate issue that often ruins the experience for many such as fighting, yelling at Cast Members, undressing princesses, line-cutting, and much more. These disrespectful behaviors not only undermines the principles of fairness and respect but also detracts from the overall enjoyment of other Guests.
Disneyland is home to two theme parks, Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. Each Disney Park includes something different for Guests of all ages and sizes. Guests heading to Disneyland Park can enjoy iconic attractions such as Jungle Cruise, Pirates of the Caribbean, “it’s a small world,” Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and many more attractions. At Disneyland Park Guests can stroll down Main Street U.S.A. to spot Sleeping Beauty Castle.
Next door at Disney California Adventure Park, Disneyland Guests can explore different lands such as Pixar Pier, Avengers Campus, Cars Land and many more different lands. Guests can experience thrilling attractions such as Incredicoaster, Inside Out Emotional Whirwind, Goofy’s Sky School, Radiator Springs Racers, Soarin’ Around the World, Guardians of the Galaxy Mission: BREAKOUT!, and many more attractions.
In a social media post, a former Disney Cast Member speaks out about line cutting. This Cast Member watched a father get to the front of the attraction and waited for his family of five to catch up. When it was their turn to get on the attraction they asked for two separate vehicles when they could fit on one. And the father who was waiting in line for them did not even ride, he then went to the next attraction for them to “catch up” with him again. This Cast Member tried to stop this line cutting by calling the other attraction but they were able to stop and talk to him. The father saw nothing wrong with how his family were doing the lines.
“When I worked at California Adventure I had a dad get to the front of my line, then step to the side and waited for his family of 5 more (that just walked through everyone because they were “catching up “ to him). Of course they asked for 2 separate vehicles on my low capacity attraction when 1 would fit them all comfortably, and then the dad DIDN’T EVEN RIDE. He exited and I watched him walk to the next attraction and get in line, so his family could catch up to him there after. I called the next attraction and told them what the dad was doing and they were able to stop him and talk to him. He thought there was absolutely nothing wrong with what he was doing…”
Line-cutting at Disneyland is an unfortunate reality that can dampen the spirits of genuine Guests seeking a magical experience. Guests waiting for an attraction should have their party with them while in line due to Guests not dealing with line cutting.
