At 11:33 a.m. on August 17, a 911 call was logged reporting a fire at Flamingo Crossings Village. Scanner monitoring account @WDWActiveCrime shared the dispatch on X (formerly known as Twitter):

🔥 Fire Alert – 8/17/26 11:33 AM
🔥: Fire at 📍: Flangingo Crossings Area

The Google Maps pin attached to the alert points to a roadway within the Flamingo Crossings area — a generalized location consistent with how emergency responses across Walt Disney World Resort property are typically tracked in scanner logs, rather than a pinpointed address for the specific incident.

How serious the fire was, whether the building or the surrounding area sustained any damage, and whether anyone was hurt remain unknown. Walt Disney World Resort has not commented on the incident.

About Flamingo Crossings Village

Flamingo Crossings Village sits on land owned by Walt Disney World Resort, but the hotels, shops, and residential facilities within the complex are operated by third parties rather than Disney directly. The development is best known as the only official housing option for Disney College Program participants and other Walt Disney World Resort cast members. The community replaced the four previous Disney cast member housing complexes that had served the resort for decades.

No Disruption to the Guest Experience

Monday’s fire call at Flamingo Crossings Village has produced no reported impact on operations at Walt Disney World Resort’s theme parks, hotels, or Disney Springs. Guests with plans at the Central Florida Disney destination can proceed with their itineraries without experiencing any delays or disruptions related to the morning’s emergency response.
