First Look at the Disney Skyliner Coming to Walt Disney World

We previously announced that the Disney Skyliner will be opening to guests in the fall of 2019 at Walt Disney World.  We are excited that Disney has also shared another look at the actual gondolas.  Disney Parks, Experiences and Consumer Products Chairman Bob Chapek revealed the gondolas at D23’s Destination D: Celebrating Mickey Mouse.  The Disney Skyliner will be an amazing way for guests to move to different locations around Walt Disney World Resort.  Guests will also be able to see areas of Walt Disney World unlike ever before with a bird’s eye view.

Take a look at this awesome video from the event:

This new Disney Skyliner will connect Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Epcot, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Pop Century Resort, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort and Disney’s Riviera Resort.  Disney Skyliner

Select gondolas will have iconic Disney characters in the exterior design of the vehicles.  The design will look like a popular Disney character is riding along with them.  There will be a variety of different characters from the different films, attractions and cartoons.  We will definitely keep you posted as we learn more about the Disney Skyliner.

Who else can’t wait for the Disney Skyliner to finally open?

About Christy Caby

I am a diehard Disney fanatic! I fell in love with all things Disney from an early age and that only increased once I first visited Walt Disney World! It led me to complete a yearlong Disney College Program working at merchandise locations within Disney’s Hollywood Studios (Disney-MGM Studios at that time) and I worked for Disney Parks & Resorts Technology in Project/Program Management. Now I get to write about Disney and help others plan their magical vacations! Disney holds a special place in the hearts of my entire family as my husband proposed there, we honeymooned there, took trips while pregnant with each of my boys and have visited with them many, many times from 8 weeks old through now. One of my favorite memories from each trip is always the look on my kids’ faces the first time they see the castle. I’d love to help you plan your magical vacation!
