Police Chase at Disneyland Results in Canceled Christmas Celebrations
Disneyland Park abruptly canceled a Christmas Day Fantasmic! performance amid reports of law enforcement pursuing a suspect near the Rivers of America. While some witnesses connected the show cancellation to the police activity, conflicting accounts suggested technical problems or a performer’s medical emergency might have caused the interruption.
Christmas Night Fantasmic! Disruption

TikTok user @707casanova documented the chaotic scene while waiting for Fantasmic! on December 25. The guest observed Anaheim police officers “chasing a man” near the show area moments before Disney canceled the performance.
@707casanova The security guard said TACKLE HIM and there is cops everywhere. I wonder whT happened!! #christmas #disneyland #disney #fantasmicshow #police
“The security guard said TACKLE HIM and there is cops everywhere,” the Disney Park guest wrote. “I wonder [what] happened!!”
Disneyland Resort has not issued public statements about either the Fantasmic! cancellation or the Christmas Day law enforcement response.
Conflicting Explanations

Some Disney Park guests offered alternative theories about the show cancellation unrelated to police activity. Multiple witnesses suggested technical difficulties or a performer’s emergency interrupted the production.
“We have been looking around and asking everyone what happened!!” @laurenandrews___ wrote. “A few people mentioned that they saw Mickey go down.”
“We were there directly across from Mickey on stage, towards the center,” @j_unitmama commented. “We overheard a performance issue with special effects?”

However, @707casanova maintained that security cast members connected the police chase to the cancellation.
“The announcement even said we are sorry for the disturbance this MAN caused,” the Disney Park guest wrote. “…I saw the security guard run past me and the announcer saying ‘a man.'”
Show Operations Resume

The exact reason for the December 25 Fantasmic! cancellation remains unclear. Disneyland Park has resumed normal show operations, with performances scheduled, including a 9:00 p.m. showing on December 29, 2025.
