Expansion Planned for Caribbean Beach Resort at Walt Disney World

Disney has filed permits for an expansion at Caribbean Beach Resort.  The permit includes the addition of 7 new buildings, one of which is planned to be a large multi-level building.  The large building is expected to occupy part of the Barbados village area.  There are also plans for roadways, retention barriers, etc.  The work is expected to begin this year and won’t be completed until sometime in 2019.

There is no confirmation yet as to whether or not the large building will be an additional DVC resort at Walt Disney World.  We do suspect that an announcement will be made that this will be deemed as DVC.  We will keep you all posted as we learn more about the construction as new details are announced.
