Universal Orlando is showing some love to its loyal Annual Passholders—just in time for the buzz surrounding Epic Universe. Starting April 17, guests with valid admission to Epic Universe can swing by the Sensorium Emporium in Celestial Park to grab a free Epic Universe specialty poster. It’s available from park open to close, but only while supplies last.
This isn’t the first time Universal has given back to its passholder base. Both Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure have a solid history of handing out freebies like exclusive magnets, buttons, lanyards, and early access to events. The latest gift ties in with the most exciting addition in years: a brand-new theme park.
But just when everything was looking great for Premier Passholders, Universal pulled a fast one. Originally, they indicated that Express Pass after 4 p.m.—a staple perk at both main parks—would extend to Epic Universe. Now? That statement has been quietly erased. There’s no sign of that perk being offered anymore, and it’s leaving some fans scratching their heads (and others flat-out annoyed).
The backlash was swift. Many Premier Passholders upgrade specifically for that post-4 p.m. Express Pass. Taking it off the table for Epic Universe—at least for now—feels like a bait-and-switch. Whether this is temporary or permanent remains unclear, but the reversal definitely took the wind out of some fans’ sails.
Meanwhile, over at Disney World, the passholder gift game is still going strong. While you’re less likely to get attraction access perks, Disney’s all about collectible magnets, photo ops, and small exclusive items. EPCOT tends to be the hub for these releases, and yes—people will literally line up for hours to score a new Figment or Orange Bird magnet.
So between both parks, the trend is clear: annual passholders love to feel special. Whether it’s a freebie, a queue skip, or just some extra recognition, these perks play a big role in keeping fans engaged and coming back for more.
