EPCOT’s Odyssey Pavilion Gets New “Light Lounge” Following Citrus Blossom Removal

EPCOT guests walking through World Celebration may have noticed that one of the park’s familiar festival locations is already moving on from its Flower & Garden Festival role.

The Odyssey Pavilion, which recently served as home to The Citrus Blossom during the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, is now displaying brand-new signage for something called “Light Lounge at the Odyssey.” While Disney has not officially revealed exactly what the venue will offer, the change marks another transformation for one of EPCOT’s most adaptable spaces.

The Citrus Blossom has become a staple of Flower & Garden Festival in recent years. Located inside The Odyssey, it gave guests a chance to enjoy seasonal menu items while taking a break indoors. Once the festival ended, however, Disney quickly removed the Citrus Blossom branding and began preparing the building for its next chapter.

That’s where Light Lounge enters the picture.

New signs outside the pavilion feature colorful geometric patterns in shades of blue, purple, and pink. The design feels very much in line with EPCOT’s modern visual identity and even resembles some of the patterns guests see around Spaceship Earth and World Celebration.

At first glance, the word “lounge” suggests this may be more than just another food booth or temporary festival location. Disney could be creating a dedicated indoor experience where guests can relax, cool off, and enjoy a unique atmosphere while exploring the park.

That would make plenty of sense.

Summer crowds are arriving at Walt Disney World, and air-conditioned spaces quickly become valuable real estate. EPCOT has plenty of attractions and dining locations, but there are surprisingly few places where guests can simply sit down and unwind without committing to a full meal.

A themed lounge could help fill that gap.

The Odyssey Pavilion has always occupied an interesting place within EPCOT. Positioned between World Celebration and World Showcase, it sits directly along one of the park’s busiest pathways. Because of its central location, Disney often uses the building for rotating experiences, exhibits, and festival offerings.

The arrival of Light Lounge continues that tradition while potentially giving the building a stronger identity between festivals.

For now, Disney remains quiet about what guests can expect inside. There are no announced opening dates, menus, entertainment offerings, or operational details. Still, the new signage alone has generated plenty of curiosity among EPCOT fans.

Whether Light Lounge becomes a seasonal experience or something that remains longer-term, one thing is already clear: The Odyssey Pavilion isn’t staying empty after The Citrus Blossom’s departure. Disney is preparing something new, and EPCOT visitors likely won’t have to wait long to learn more.
