After nearly two months, one of the most familiar Quick-Service spots in the EPCOT World Showcase remains completely inaccessible. Walt Disney World Resort still hasn’t said when that changes.
Refreshment Port Has Been Walled Off Since January
Refreshment Port, the walk-up dining location near the Canada Pavilion in the EPCOT World Showcase, closed on January 12, 2026, and hasn’t reopened since. The spot is a consistent draw for guests chasing specialty poutines, fountain beverages, and soft-serve ice cream, including DOLE Whip.

The closure lasted throughout the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts without resolution. Then the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival launched on March 4, and Refreshment Port was still dark. That’s a meaningful loss for festival-goers; the location typically ties its soft-serve flavors and poutine offerings directly to each seasonal event, making it part of the curated festival experience rather than just another dining option.
As of March 11, construction walls wrap around the entire building. WDWNT reported that the barriers extend from around Swirled Showcase, past the restaurant’s entrance, and stretch nearly to the Flower & Garden Festival booth in the Canada Pavilion.
Nothing visible above the walls hints at exterior work, suggesting whatever is happening is contained to the kitchen or interior of the space.
The Calendar Offers Little Comfort

Walt Disney World Resort has not set a public reopening date. The official refurbishment calendar runs through May 9, and Refreshment Port shows no posted hours through that point. Disney is directing guests to check back for updates rather than committing to any timeline.
With the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival running through June 1 and no festival menu published for Refreshment Port, the window is narrowing fast on the possibility of the location returning before the event ends.
Which Refreshment Port menu item do you miss the most? Disney Dining would love to hear from you in the comments!
