EPCOT Announces New Details and Changes Coming to Its New Year’s Eve Lineup

New Year’s Eve Experience at EPCOT

EPCOT is gearing up for an exciting New Year’s Eve celebration, bringing fresh strategies to manage the substantial crowds expected. The changes stem from last year’s melee, where throngs of guests diminished the overall experience. This year, Disney plans to shift some visitors from the bustling World Showcase to various areas enhanced for festivities, ensuring a more enjoyable evening for everyone.

The performance of “Luminous: The Symphony of Us” is set for 6:30 p.m., marking the conclusion of daily activities. As countdowns begin, “Cheers to the New Year: A Sparkling Celebration” will take center stage at 11:54 p.m., culminating in a dazzling display at midnight to welcome 2026.

Key highlights include increased live performances, engaging dance parties, and interactive activities designed to enhance the guest experience throughout the night.

Dance Parties Across EPCOT

EPCOT will host several vibrant dance parties, aiming to engage guests of all ages. A Character Dance Party is planned outside the Imagination Pavilion. This energetic gathering will entice families and younger guests to join the fun.

Several pavilions are taking unique approaches to ring in the New Year. For instance, the China Pavilion will feature a dance party celebrating the year’s biggest hits alongside a stunning display of the Chinese Dragon. Meanwhile, Italy will provide electronic beats, while Japan’s pavilion will delight attendees with a mix of global pop and urban music, creating a lively atmosphere in each location.

These themed offerings ensure guests will find a party that suits their tastes, contributing to a harmonious New Year’s Eve experience at EPCOT.

Live Music Attractions

CommuniCore Plaza will welcome a diverse lineup of live music acts for the evening. Initial performances will revolve around Latin themes, paving the way for an electrifying dueling pianos show. As the first major performance after Jellyrolls’ closure, this could be a must-see event for music enthusiasts who want to capture the spirit of New Year’s Eve.

The combination of new acts and returning favorites ensures that there is something for everyone, catering to a diverse range of musical tastes and age groups.

Photo Opportunities and Special Guests

For those keen on capturing memories, EPCOT will present various photo opportunities throughout the evening. Guests can still meet Santa Goofy at the Odyssey Pavilion, but they should plan accordingly, as he will be available only until 5:30 p.m. This visit is perfect for any last-minute requests and family snapshots before his holiday departure.
