Entertainment at Disney Very Merriest After Hours

When Disney After Hours first debuted several years ago, the idea was to give Guests a chance to ride as many rides as possible without the waits. There were no characters and no entertainment, it was all about the rides.

Disney Very Merriest After Hours is an After Hours event, but there is plenty of entertainment! Here is a quick rundown.

The Castle stage show dazzles at night, glowing in orange lights with lively performers and a prominent “50” emblem above the entrance—truly one of the standout experiences at Walt Disney World. This magical spectacle is an essential part of attending Disney Very Merriest After Hours.

Mickey & Minnie’s Very Merry Memories is a show that takes place on the stage in front of Cinderella Castle. It runs at 9:25, 10:35, 11:45, and 12:50, and features the famous couple and all of your other favorites. It will not take place if the weather is bad.

Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade is the first parade to take place at Walt Disney World in over a year and a half. It is the same parade that ran during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Weather permitting it takes place twice, at 9:45 and at 12:05, and the second viewing is usually less crowded.

On a lively night at Disney After Hours, three guests in cowboy hats enjoy the view from a wooden balcony, with one guest playfully wielding a glowing green lightsaber, bringing an exciting Star Wars twist to the Western-themed fun.

Reindeer Wranglers perform in Frontierland. This is a country trio who put a fun spin on some of your favorite Christmas classics. They perform at 9:25, 10:30, 11:40, and 12:35.

There are plenty of character sightings, and most are dressed up for the holidays. The viewing areas are marked on the map. The lighting isn’t great but the characters are always fun to see.

Possibly the entertainment highlight is Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks. This takes place at 11:15. Although the fireworks can be seen throughout the Park, the best place to watch is on Main Street, U.S.A.

Minnie is the host of the fireworks show. She will talk about her favorite holiday songs and what the holidays mean to her. There is not a lot of narration.

Grab a free snack and then find a spot, because Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks is close to perfection. In addition to the music, there are whimsical holiday projections on Cinderella Castle, but the star (sorry, Minnie) is the fireworks. There are plenty of them, and they are stunning.
