For Star Wars fans should check out the Star Wars: Force for Change philanthropic initiative.  Disney and Lucasfilm have teamed up with the global K-12 nonprofit robotics organization, FIRST, in the hopes of inspiring a new generation of innovation and heroes.  The Star Wars:  Force for Change provides financial, mentorship and resources to help expand the access and reach of the FIRST programs for more students around the globe. The annual FIRST championship was hosted at EPCOT from 1995 through 2002.

Now, Disney is joining forces with FIRST once again to bring hands-on learning opportunities and mentorship to an even larger group of young minds.  Check out this video to hear from Mark Hamill on this collaboration and its impact on S.T.E.M.:
