Check out these New Orleans favors! The Disney Cruise Line’s “Wonder” just made its final departure from New Orleans during her inaugural season sailing out of the Big Easy. While this is the last sail from their newest homeport this year, Disney Cruise Line will return to the Crescent City in 2021. In the meantime check out the details and photos below from DisneyParksBlog of a dining experience you’ll be eager to try next year!
Down in New Orleans, you’ll find magic around every corner, from the French Quarter to the Garden District and bayou. And onboard the Disney Wonder, you’ll experience the same sense of jazz-infused fun and genteel southern charm all year round with special dining and entertainment celebrating Disney’s “The Princess and the Frog.”
At Tiana’s Place, our culinary team invites you to enjoy the mouthwatering flavors of Creole and Cajun cuisine with a menu that draws inspiration from the region. While you dine, the characters and stories of the Disney animated feature come to life through rousing storytelling and live jazz entertainment that can only be described as “the bee’s knees!” And in true Disney fashion, you’ll discover magical touches and thoughtfully designed details around every corner of the restaurant. Everything from the water-lily-shaped candleholders to the design of the dinnerware tells the story of Tiana’s journey from waitress to frog princess to proud restaurant owner!
Tiana is passionate about her restaurant, so our chefs have cooked up some of her favorite recipes for you to enjoy. Here are some of our top picks:

I love a little spice, so my personal favorite entrée at Tiana’s Place is the Cajun Spiced Sea Bass. Served with shrimp jambalaya, crisp fennel salad, and remoulade sauce, this dish always has me digging a little deeper!
Charlotte La Bouff’s Bucatini Pasta is another flavorful option. Served with pancetta, oyster mushrooms, eggplant, spinach, peas, basil and Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, it’s another can’t miss!
A visit to the Big Easy wouldn’t be complete without a fresh batch of this favorite New Orleans treat! Tiana’s Buttermilk Beignets are the signature dessert for Mardi Gras night in the restaurant. These mouth-watering treats are dusted with powder sugar and served with chocolate espresso dipping sauce that is sure to satisfy any sweet tooth. Can’t wait until the Mardi Gras celebration? You can enjoy this treat throughout the cruise by ordering them at the French Quarter Lounge.
If you’re fixin’ for even more sweets, indulge yourself with the Southern Style Pecan Nut Tart that will leave you grinnin’ like a possum ’til the sun comes up!
Of course, there’s so much more on the menu. From bold and spicy to flavorful and familiar, there’s nearly something for every patron of Tiana’s famous supper club to enjoy!
Guess what? We’ve got more on the other side! Right next to Tiana’s Place is the all-new French Quarter Lounge, where you’re transported deeper into the story. Before or after dinner, you can stroll by this lively locale to enjoy rousing jazz music, dance the night away and sip a New Orleans-themed specialty drink.
While this space is inspired by the famed French Quarter, you may also notice the subtle décor themed to the smooth-talking “shadow man,” Dr. Facilier, from “The Princess and the Frog.”
The La Bouff Favorite offers a coffee of your choice – may I recommend the Café Au Lait? – served with beignets, a chocolate truffle, macaroon, madeleine, caramel chocolate sauce and Evangeline Praline liquor. In place of the liquor, guests of all ages can enjoy a Dr. Facilier potion!
Perfect for bourbon and rum enthusiasts, the Old New Orleans Fashionis a twist on a favorite—an Old Fashion cocktail blended with Bayou XO Rum, adding in some whisky smoked sugar and Angostura bitters.
For a sophisticated taste of the Quarter, delight in the Madame Mimosa, which combines French Lillet rose vermouth with California Chandon sparkling wine for an elegant, passionfruit flavor.
And don’t miss the Lillet Cocktail. Choose from three small bites to pair with a serving of Lillet Blanc, Lillet Rosé or Lillet Rouge and tonic water.
Are ya ready? From the live music to the activities to these specialty treats served at the French Quarter Lounge, we know you’ll be satisfied!
Of course, this is just a sampling of what you’ll enjoy when letting the good times roll at Tiana’s Place and the French Quarter Lounge. When sailing aboard the Disney Wonder, you’ll be immersed in the stories of southern charm in locales designed for the entire family. And one thing’s for sure: “We’re gonna take you there!”
