It was recently announced that four new Disney character meet-and-greet opportunities are coming to Walt Disney World this year: Disney Princess Moana is coming to Animal Kingdom in April, Figment is coming to EPCOT this summer, Mickey and Minnie are also coming to EPCOT this year, and Mirabel is coming to Magic Kingdom in the fall.

Immediately, fans were worried about losing the Merida meet-and-greet experience in Fairytale Garden. Unfortunately, the intuition of these Disney fans proved correct.

Mirabel will be replacing Merida in Magic Kingdom later this year. Currently, though, Guests can meet still the fiery Disney Princess who takes hold of her own destiny in Fairytale Garden.

While Brave (2012) was nowhere near as successful as Encanto or Frozen, it’s become a niche fan favorite Disney movie. Not only that, but Merida is an incredibly fun Disney Princess to meet due to her boisterous and bold personality.
