Duffy to No Longer Be Part of Walt Disney World’s Kidcot Fun Stops in Epcot

We have sad news for all of you Duffy fans out there.  We are hearing from a variety of different sources that Duffy will not be a part of the Kidcot Fun Stops at Walt Disney World anymore.  The Kidcot Fun Stops are locations that are found within each of the pavilions in the World Showcase area of Epcot.  These stops are for the kiddos to stop and complete a coloring activity featuring a paper cutout of Duffy.  At many of the pavilions they can also decorate Duffy with stamps from that country, too.  The Duffy cutouts will be going away sometime in July and we don’t know yet cutout or activity we can expect to replace Duffy.  It is possible that Disney will completely change up the activity that is offered.

For those of you that are wondering who Duffy is, he has a very fun story.  He is known as Duffy the Disney Bear.  He is actually Mickey’s personal teddy bear that was made for him by Minnie Mouse.  He used to have a meet and greet at Epcot which was also previously discontinued, so there are no longer any Duffy meet and greets at Walt Disney World.

We are anxious to know what Disney will put in place of Duffy for the Kidcot Fun Stops.  We will keep you posted as we learn more.  In the meantime, you may want to get your last Duffy cutout while you can!

Now I get to write about Disney and help others plan their magical vacations! Disney holds a special place in the hearts of my entire family as my husband proposed there, we honeymooned there, took trips… More »
